Hello! Thank you for visiting my blog site thisavocadotree.com. My name is Hazel Harris and my company is Azecia (as-a-sha). How did that name come about you may ask, well it’s a marrying of two sisters named Hazel and Alicia. She is my biggest supporter and partner in all things Azecia. But who the hell am I really…..

This is the boring part. I am just a regular gal originally from the sunny island of Trinidad and Tobago currently living in Toronto, Canada. I am a "Trini to the Bone" no matter how far away I live from where I still call home. My age is unimportant but I am a baby boomer…figure that out…ha ha ha.

My background includes Retail Management, Sales & Marketing, Print and Digital content writing, eCommerce Logistics & Distribution. I have been a runner, speed walker, done a couple half marathons, and triathlons. Notice that it’s past tense, yeah...injury forced me to retire from the sport. I still walk but not at competition level.

Now I am embarking on a new venture completely foreign to me. You can call it my passion project. Why? Well, retirement is approaching and I am thinking about “What’s Next”. I have seen too many people get to that point and have nothing to do with their lives after working for the “MAN”. It is a known fact that baby boomers are living longer, healthier and more engaging active lives than ever before. This is my way of jump-starting my view of how I want to live my golden years while staying in touch with this digital world.

All I hope is that thisavocadotree.com can be an exciting place for online visitors to stop by and shop for Health, Wellness, and Beauty products.
