Love the One you're with Every Day
Valentine's Day is supposed to be a love day for lovers. But today, it is pretty much for everyone… sharing chocolate, gifts, and wishes with anybody. I wouldn't be me if I didn't talk about it from a different point of view.
Believe it or not Valentine's Day observed now for over 1,500 years, originated from a Christian feast day honoring a martyr named Valentine. Over time, it has transformed into a significant cultural and commercial celebration of romance and love in many regions of the world. In my opinion, many special occasions throughout the year have become so commercialized that we sometimes bottle up all acts of affection to be celebrated on that specific day. Truthfully we should be showing our love every day.
Taking the time we have on this earth for granted has almost become common place. Many of us are so busy with life that we often forget to thank the ones who are part of our lives. Do you know what tomorrow will bring? I certainly don't. That is because we do not control the future.
Moving forward, let's make it our mission to show acts of affection and appreciation for those people who support us. Sometimes a simple "Thank You" can go a long way. Telling people that you care can go a long way in validating your relationship with them. So express your love for your partner every day. Most of all, be genuine and consistent, or your hypocrisy will eventually show.
